Between 2001 and 2008 I have worked as technical specialized operator for the Calabria civil protection authority. Our main task was the development of the hydro-geological early warning system based on the rainfall real-time monitoring and control.
In this context I extensively learnt GIS system, Microsoft and Linux developing environments, DataBase and Web mapping.
Between 2006 and 2007 I have been in charge of the development of the hydro-geological early warning system and numerical models for prevention of flash-flood and landslide events. Most of these systems and models are based on GIS (Geographical Information System) interface.
Since 2007 I have been in charge of the development of the WEBGIS system for publishing meteo-climatic data on web through open source software, like UMN Mapserver, Ka-Map, Geoserver and OpenLayers API.
Between July 2008 and July 2009 I have worked for IFM Infomaster s.p.a. (GENOA, Italy – as GIS project-manager and analyst-developer, where, specifically, I have managed and worked with development of custom desktop and web GIS applications, in particular ESRI ArcGIS 9.2 software using ArcObjects and GIS open source products.
Since July 2009 I have been working for REM group of JRC in ISPRA (Italy) for developing a WEBGIS system ( for monitoring radiological data using ESRI ARCGIS server 9.3.1 and ADF .NET framework.
Meanwhile, I worked for a Consortium called Consorzio di bonifica “Sibari-Crati” for designing and developing a geo-portal for public and private users, using ASP.NET 4.0 and GIS open source tools, in order to serving several types of geographical data, aerial photos included.
