Kelley Briggs, Principal and Executive Creative Director of DesignWorks NY, LLC, is a specialist in creative brand identity, graphic design and business-to-business marketing. Her team has a creative heart, but a marketing head, providing unique, powerful solutions that integrate good design with effective marketing strategies. In 1999, these principles drove her to found and direct DesignWorks NY.
Kelley has over 25 years of industry experience in graphic design, marketing, advertising, and direct mail. She honed her creative skills through her work at various advertising and public relations agencies and corporate in-house marketing departments, working on prominent accounts such as American Express, Pitney Bowes, ESPN The Magazine, The New York Philharmonic, Citibank, Canon, DuPont, Mobil and Columbia University.
From 2007 to 2010, Kelley acted as Principal, Executive Creative Director for the newly formed Hudson Fusion LLC, a full service integrated marketing communications firm in Westchester County New York. During Kelley’s three years of creative supervision, Hudson Fusion received over 50 advertising and design awards for creative excellence, including national American Graphic Design Awards, international Summit Advertising Awards and regional Big W Awards for logo design, direct mail, brochures, web sites and marketing campaigns. Prior to Hudson Fusion, DesignWorks was also annually presented with awards for creative excellence. In addition to creative awards, Working Women Magazine selected DesignWorks NY as an Entrepreneurial Nominee in 2000 for Overall Excellence, and she was honored in 2008 with a Working Women of Westchester (WOW) Award.
Kelley earned her BFA in graphic design at the State University of New York at Fredonia. She complemented her education with a six-month internship at CBS, Inc. in New York and continued her marketing and business education at New York University.
Kelley is active in serving both the local and business communities as a board member of The Advertising Club of Westchester, and on the Advisory Council of the State University of New York at Fredonia School Of Business. In addition, she is an active member of The Marketing Communications Council within the Westchester Business Council, and the Women’s Business Connection. Her firm donated creative resources to Hudson Valley non-profit organizations My Sisters’ Place and Girls Inc., Westchester. She mentored Columbia University MBA students, and now lives in Matamoras, Pennsylvania.
